At Haunted House FearFest, we celebrate horror as an art form and a community. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for filmmakers, game developers, press, and audiences worldwide.
Professional Standards
All participants are expected to engage with the festival and its team in a professional and respectful manner. We encourage open dialogue and collaboration, but harassment, hostility, or retaliatory behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Decisions regarding selections, nominations, and awards are made through a combination of jury review, programming considerations, and the discretion of the festival team. These decisions are final.
Media & Press
Haunted House FearFest shares official selections with press outlets, reviewers, and industry professionals to maximize visibility.While we facilitate press access, interviews and coverage are at the sole discretion of the press outlets. The festival cannot guarantee individual media opportunities outside of official programming. The Looks Creepy Cool Podcast is the official festival podcast. All filmmakers and game developers who wish to participate will be interviewed, and those interviews will be promoted across our social platforms and e-newsletter.
Eventive & Steam Screenings
All films are hosted on Eventive, a secure and trusted platform used by film festivals worldwide. This ensures films are protected from unauthorized downloads or sharing. All games are featured on the Haunted House FearFest Steam page, where they are distributed and promoted to a global gaming audience. Developers retain their rights; the festival’s role is to showcase and promote.
Enforcement
Any filmmaker or game developer engaging in unprofessional, threatening, or defamatory behavior toward the festival, its staff, or its partners may be subject to removal from current programming and may be ineligible for future editions.In extreme cases, the festival reserves the right to notify platforms such as FilmFreeway or Steam of conduct violations.
